The episode features a 36 minute documentary story outlining Mesaieed’s people and economic weight. The story highlighted Mesaieed City as an oasis of wealth with companies that represent the future of Qatar.
Qatalum was chosen to be highlighted along with 2 other industries because of its role contributing towards the diversification of the economy in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
The story-line at Qatalum was centred around a young Qatari employee Jassim Al Mejali, Process Engineer, Reduction and his team. By using Jassim as a focal point and gaining knowledge of his work routine, additional material was recorded about Qatalum’s specifications, processes and employee life at the Plant as dictated by a predetermined script.
Several facilities were highlighted in the shoot included the Occupational Health and Fire and Safety departments. The Mosque was also of particular interest with a lean towards the regions cultural needs.
The two day coverage was strictly overseen by Communications, whereby strict HSE regulations were observed together with the full cooperation of Jassim and all of those involved at Qatalum.
