Qatalum appreciates help given at ARABAL

Qatalum extends its appreciation and praise to dedicated ARABAL volunteers soon after the successful event.

​​​As part of its social responsibility towards Qatari society, Qatalum designated free seats for a number of students of engineering studies from the University of Qatar, A & M - Texas University, and the North Atlantic College - Qa​tar. The students were invited to attend so that they could benefit from the various discussion sessions and workshops within the conference programme as well as the latest advances on aluminium industry related topics.

Qatalum honoured the dedicated work teams of the Qatar Centre for Voluntary Work, as well as the many Qatari volunteers and residents, whose contribution to the organisation of ARABAL 2012 and had clear impact on the success of the conference and its different events during a special ceremony on November 27​.

On this occasion, Qatalum’s Communications and Public Relations Manager, Mr Ibrahim J Fakhri, handed over certificates of appreciation and gifts to 29 participants and volunteers who participated in the logistics of ARABAL 2012; facilitating the administrative elements of the event programme and providing assistance to the participants and audience.​

Commenting on the event, Fakhri said: "We are extremely proud of the high level of Qatari presence we witnessed during ARABAL 2012. The large number of Qatari’s that were both willing and eager to become​ involved during the event is a clear indication of the people of Qatar’s continued commitment to contribute to the success of all major events hosted by the State of Qatar. We extend thanks and appreciation to every person for their efforts and cooperation in highlighting Qatar as a world destination to host major events and provide a bright image of Qatar, its citizens and residents."

On its part, the Qatar Centre for Voluntarily Work expressed its appreciation for the valuable opportunities provided by Qatalum to the Centre to become involved in international forums such as ARABAL, which aim to boost the aluminium industry in the country and highlight the State of Qatar as a regional key sponsor for various global events within a diverse range of sectors.
