High school student conducted a research project of Carbon Dust from Qatalum.

Qatalum’s HSEQ Group recognized achievement of one of the Qatar’s Secondary school student. This Project Presentation was held in Qatalum Doha Office, on 08 May 2019.

Ajlan Al-Kaabi, a student from Omar bin Al-Khattab Secondary School, conducted a research project entitled Value Added Sensor from Industrial and Environment Waste. In his study, he made use of Carbon dust from Qatalum as industrial waste in performing the experiment.

The project's result has received various accolade both in Qatar and the US. Mr. Al-Kaabi is currently in the United States to present the results to Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, a major research events for high school students.

This successfull project presentation was initiated and coordinated by Al-Maha Al-Majid, Environment and Sustainability Manager who acknowledged the vital link between Qatalum and Qatar University. She said: This achievement is a manifestation of an effective partnership between Qatalum and Qatar University. Qatalum is always welcome to students like Mr. Al-Kaabi.

Meanwhile, Faraj Al-Abdulla, Chief HSE& Quality Officer, rendered his sincerest appreciation on behalf of the Qatalum Management Team. With this achievement, he said: Qatalum is very thankful to Mr. Al-Kaabi for making Qatalum a crucial part of his successful project. His innovation and motivation does not only contribute to Qatalum, but more importantly, to Qatar's Nation Development.
