Qatar is one of the very few countries in the world to dedicate a public holiday to sport – with the number of people turning out to join in the activities over the last few years reflecting the impact it’s had on the population. QNSD 2020 kicked off with an even bigger line-up of sports and recreational activities across the country. With the participation of over a hundred institutions including ministries, governmental bodies, sports clubs, academies and schools, the free activities open to the public throughout Qatar include football, basketball, tennis, taekwondo, cycling, swimming, and walking, among others.

Qatalum supports the participation of its employees in sporting events as it reflects positively on the overall development of the community and boosts the morale of its staff in general by enhancing the spirit of teamwork and communication.
