Qatalum Delegation to attend 19th World Aluminium Conference as Sponsor

As a Silver Sponsor, Qatalum to engage with international industry representatives on downstream support, environmental protection and current benchmarked practices.

Qatalum was the silver sponsor of CRU's 19th World Aluminium Conference, which took place from the 19th to 20th of May 2014, at the JW Marriott in Hong Kong. The company sent a high level delegation, including CEO Tom Petter Johansen, to network with delegates on issues of smelting, recycling, rolling, extruding, trade, raw materials, purchasing, technology and finance in the aluminium industry.

As a sponsor of the official delegate lanyard and exhibitor, Qatalum was be able to discuss a variety of issues with industry stakeholders, representing Qatalum's ideas, innovations and strategies on subjects ranging from supply and demand imbalances to the switch of the auto industry to aluminium sheeting.

Qatalum representatives attended sessions concerning growth across the value chain. The company saw special opportunity to share with the global industry Qatalum's support for downstream industry growth in Qatar – especially in the context of the country's hosting of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and the Qatar National Vision 2030 – the multi-pillar national development strategy for economic, social and environmental progress.
