A brighter future for the visually impaired

Directives embedded into the Qatalum Way emphasise values that go beyond the company and embrace society as a whole. Today, Qatalum initiated supplying visually impaired students at the Al Noor Institute for the blind with new school bags in support of the new academic year 2014 - 2015.

Qatalum supports philanthropic projects, especially when they have a positive social impact on the community and the Nation.

Mr Ibrahim Jassim Fakhri, Qatalum's Communication Manager, echoed this altruistic policy stating, "We at Qatalum are honoured to have been granted this opportunity to contribute to such a worthy cause. These young students, citizens of Qatar, deserve the brightest future possible and as Qatalum we reflect our corporate ideals onto them – it's our professional responsibility. With continued support from institutions and organisations like Al Noor, their noble efforts to enable people of Qatar will help them reach their full potential."

This support will undoubtedly add to our students' educational care and boost their educational and personal development. Established in 2012, The Al-Noor Institute for the Blind is a non-profit organization dedicated to serve visually impaired children between the ages of 5 and 15. Al-Noor contributes to improving the students' quality of life through excellence in specialised education. The Institute offers a variety of academic programs specifically catered to respective ages, abilities, and needs, as well as providing all means of medical, physiological and social care; creating a rehabilitation platform which enables children to build their own successful social and professional futures.
