  • The primary aluminium reduction plant, where the actual liquid metal production takes place constitutes the main part of t​he ​Qatalum project.
     
  • Carbon Plant 
    The carbon plant manufactures carbon anodes, which are a vital part of the primary aluminium production process. It consists of a paste plant and an anode baking plant. Since start-up, the carbon plant has ramped up to produce approximately 300,000 tonnes of anodes per year for use in the potlines.
     
  • Casthouse 

    Casthouse

    The Qatalum c​asthouse has been designed to produce 625,000 tonnes of casthouse products per year. Its main products are extrusion ingots and foundry alloys. The casthouse also houses equipment for producing standard primary ingots.
